December Astrological Forecast

Welcome to December, Everyone! We have officially made it out of eclipse season and have the opportunity to begin rebuilding after a season of immense self-reflection and transformation. This month astrologically will be a lot lighter compared to what we have experienced in the previous months, but it is still gifting us the opportunity to continue on our path towards enlightenment and reawakening. Like all astrological transits, we have the invitation to heal, refill our spiritual cups and make strides toward aligning with our highest selves. In this post, I will highlight this month’s major astrological transits. I am not covering all of the astrological transits occurring during this time, however, I will be covering the ones that I feel will be affecting us the most.
December Astrological Timeline:
December 6th - Mercury Enters Capricorn
December 7th - Full Moon in Gemini
December 21st - Winter Solstice / Capricorn Season Begins
December 23 - New Moon In Capricorn
December 29th - Mercury retrograde in Capricorn
We are currently in Sagittarius season which will last up until the 21st of this month. Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign ruled by the planet Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion. Sagittarius pushes us on the quest for wisdom through experience and adventure. Sagittarius teaches us how to transform the knowledge we acquire into wisdom that we can share with the masses to foster collective change. Backed by the planet Jupiter, Sagittarius teaches us that there are no limitations to what and who we can become and that the only limitations we have are ultimately the ones we place on ourselves. Sagittarius season is here to remind us of the beauty in starting over and that approaching change and new circumstances with optimism and the fiery energy of passion keeps our hearts and minds open to being expanded. Sagittarius season is a time to come back into alignment with our truth, with our most authentic selves.
December 6th - Mercury Enters Capricorn

Mercury is our own personal “messenger” describing how we learn and perceive reality, and then how we communicate to others our knowledge and perceptions of the world around us.
On December 6th we have mercury entering the sign of Capricorn. Mercury is the planet of the mind, with Capricorn being in mercury you can expect a more grounded and practical mindset. Capricorn is a cardinal earth sign that prides itself on its ambition and dedication. Capricorns are the hardest workers of the zodiac and love nothing more than to achieve their dreams and reach new heights in life. When Capricorn enters mercury we will be inspired to think and act in ways that will help us reach our goals. With Capricorn’s influence, we can expect things to clear up a bit concerning our thoughts which will gift us the opportunity to focus on the thoughts that will help us build toward a more fruitful future. One of the biggest takeaways from Capricorn being in mercury will be the building of our ideas. Capricorns are not just dreamers, they also have the dedication and discipline enough to bring their dreams to reality. Capricorns teach us to dream and make our dreams a reality through hard work and discipline. Because of Capricorn’s straightforward nature when mercury enters Capricorn we can expect things that were once foggy and grey to become very clear.
Things to be cautious of during this time:
+Confrontation or misuse of power.
Because of Capricorn’s cardinal energy, they tend to be the leaders of the pack which at times makes it hard for them to take instruction or direction from others. Be firm in your thinking but also be open to other perspectives as well.
+Small Mindedness
though being hyper-focused and disciplined can lead to tangible results we oftentimes get so fixated on one way of achieving or doing something that we oftentimes are not open to other perspectives or alternative methods of achieving the same goal in mind.
Keep communication light during this time, be focused and disciplined in your mind and your thoughts and word choices, and be flexible during this time!
December 7th - Full Moon in Gemini

Facts About Gemini:
Gemini - May 21- June 20
Ruling Planet- Mercury
Element: Air
Crystals - Agate, Citrine, Sapphire
Attributes: Communicative, Witty, Adaptable, Synergistic, Mischievous, Fickle
On December 7th we have the last full moon of the calendar year in the sign of Gemini. Gemini is ruled by the planet mercury, which is the planet of communication. Gemini is accordingly excellent at guiding change and transformation. These curious twins are terrific pioneers, using their energy to spearhead innovative creative projects. A fearless thinker, Gemini is always down to try something new. But after they have shared their progressive vision with the world, it’s best to let these twins get back to being more recluse and introspective. These hyperactive air signs have short attention spans and are most satisfied when they can move fluidly from one idea to the next.
Representing the element air which is essentially connected to the mind and our thoughts, our internal and external communication, our verbal and non-verbal cues and anything regards to how we internally think and communicate with ourselves. Gemini is ruled by the planet mercury (the sign of communication) and is represented by the two twins which essentially allows us to understand that Gemini represents the duality we have with our innermost selves. The duality of both our internal communication with self as well as our external communication with others highlights how the way we receive and process information and thoughts can ultimately lead to how we experience life and others externally. Gemini, represented by the twins, shows us the duality between both our human selves and our spiritual selves as well. On the dark side yes, it can be interpreted as madness and chaos and a constant tug of war, however, on the light side think of how beautiful it can be to internally be at peace and share that gift with the world. Geminis gift the world with perspective, a perspective that allows others to see that your innermost self should be in harmony with whom you feel you are externally.
You can manifest during any lunar cycle, remember it’s all about intention with this type of work, however, full moons are typically not ideal for displaying new things or drawing in new energy. Unlike new moons(where you draw in new energy), Full moons come at the end of a lunar cycle and represent change, release, and clearing space for a new lunar cycle to begin again. Full moons remind us of where in our lives we need to let go and make space for new fresh energy to come in. During this full moon period, we are being called to be more patient with ourselves and get more in tune with our human side and find the balance between our spiritual selves and our human selves. Integration will be a huge theme under this full moon. Both our human and spirit sides don’t always work in sync with one another and that challenge can oftentimes create chaos and inner turmoil in our human experience. Our human selves want stability and are often driven by our external desires, while our spiritual side asks us to follow our hearts’ desires and do things that truly bring us joy on a soul level. finding a balance between these two perspectives can oftentimes be tricky, however, this full moon is our opportunity to merge the two. Trust your instincts under this Full Moon, and if you need, the Universe will send signs of confirmation your way. We have to keep pushing, keep adapting, and keep challenging ourselves to continue our mission. Our human mission is to stay alive and healthy for as long as possible and to feel secure and stable. Our soul mission is to experience all the emotions: to love, to lose, to adapt, to grow, and to transform. Life is a juggle between the two, but this Full Moon offers a bridge, helping us to find our balance and to nourish both sides of our experience here during this time.
December 21, 2022 - Winter Solstice / Capricorn Season

The winter solstice represents the first calendar day of winter. During the winter season, the earth is silent and things typically tend to lie dormant, calling for all things to utilize this time for rest and deep reflection. Each season carries its spiritual message for all of us to take heed of and harness throughout our spiritual journey. The winter season is a time that calls for us to go within and enter a period of reflection, rest, and silence. The “darkness” that is associated with the wintertime is reflective of the darkness that lives deep within us all. And just as animals and plants hibernate during this season this time calls for us to question why we spend so much time suppressing and hiding our darkness. Just as those who navigate the darkness with fear, this time also calls for us to question why we fear our darkness and cut ourselves off from an essential source of our power. As with anything balance is key, and the key here is to let the darkness consume our lives and our thoughts, but rather embrace this time as a catalyst for immense personal growth and transformation. We can not know light if we do not know darkness. By allowing ourselves to experience all of our emotions and our darkness we can then use that very darkness to birth our light. Don’t pressure yourself to make changes right now or be in action in the world, let the energies of new life and inspiration build slowly within you and by spring you can expect to plant new seeds of life and inspiration. This is the nature of things… the cycles and rhythms of personal growth and change, as you consistently nurture yourself with compassion, allowing for rest and reflection, great joy will be your harvest in 2023. With the introduction of the winter solstice, we also have Capricorn season starting on the same day. As we exit Sagittarius season where we seek to acquire spiritual knowledge and truth through experience, we now enter Capricorn season where we take the knowledge we’ve acquired, our new ideas, and inspiration and we build from that. Capricorn is a cardinal earth sign ruled by the planet Saturn the planet of structure, authority, karma, and discipline. Saturn’s influence infuses the earth sign energy with a focus on advancement through the world, and on climbing the metaphorical ladder of success. Capricorns being the last earth sign of the zodiac are often associated with ambition, determination, hard work, and initiative. Capricorn is motivated by a desire for tangible, real-world achievement and success, but this is not, crucially, always synonymous with a desire for money, or success in the business world. Capricorns are extremely independent and entrepreneurial by nature. Capricorns show us that our goals are easily obtainable with hard work and dedication. Capricorns show us the importance of planting seeds with intention as they are extremely observant and strategic with their actions. This Capricorn season would be a great time to create a plan of action, build on your current skillset, and back your ideas with action and intention. The best way to celebrate Capricorn season is to get down to business and make yourself useful, as long as you can remember that usefulness doesn’t have to be bound up in ideas of hustle and productivity and making money. You don’t stop being imaginative and weird; this is just a chance to do the work to make your wildest dreams real.
December 23 - New Moon in Capricorn

New moons mark the beginning of a new lunar cycle. The moon cycle spans over 30 days, thus gifting us with both a new moon and a full moon. New moons are a beautiful reminder of fresh starts and allow us to see that you truly can start over as long as you are committed to changing! With the moon representing “the mother” archetype, moon cycles call for a period of rest, reflection, and nurturing parts of ourselves to bring us back in harmony with whom we are truly meant to be. New moons are an opportunity to set new intentions for the month ahead to help align you on your path. Remember you co-create with God and the universe to bring forth the life that is meant for you but remember the universe responds best to clarity and intention is key!!
In Sagittarius season we all had the invitation to embark on a new journey and expand our ideas and imagination, now is the time to make solid plans and prepare to reap the benefits of our new ideas. The new moon will enter into the Cardinal Sign of Capricorn on December 23 at 5:17 am. Capricorns harbor a lot of traits that we can all benefit from under this lumination period. The moon representing the “mother” archetype gifts us the opportunity to go inward and truly listen to our needs. With the moon being in Capricorn we can expect to look for areas in our lives where we can be a bit more resourceful and disciplined in pursuing our dream and creating a routine that brings forth our desires. One of Capricorn’s “lessons” is acceptance of the concept that reasonable boundaries and rules do offer us freedom–freedom from worry and chaos. Setting goals for ourselves allows us to focus on what matters.
I will cover the mercury retrograde in its own post due to the amount of information that I will be providing you all about this upcoming retrograde so stay tuned for that as we get closer to the 29th of December. As always it’s best to embrace the seasons as they come towards us and it is with my hope always to provide you with the tools to navigate these times and use the energy that surrounds you to your best advantage!
Blessings,
Brandon.
